Statistics:
Classroom:Weber carries a 3.89 GPA as a physical education major and earned a 3.98 GPA during her junior year (Straight A's with just one A-), despite missing two weeks of school in February to train with the United States Under-21 team. In 2006 she was named the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year and also received second-team National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-American honors.
Character:As a sophomore, Weber helped lead Hofstra to the 2005 CAA championship and an NCAA Tournament berth. In 2006, the Pride was decimated by injuries, and at one point, Weber was the only starter left out of 11 from the 2005 team. She still helped lead Hofstra to a winning record (9-8-2), although the Pride missed the conference tournament on the last day of the regular season. Despite all the injuries, Weber never expressed frustration or stopped encouraging her teammates along. She was a great teammate to everyone on the roster.
Community:Weber has been involved in several charitable events. She has worked at a soup kitchen in a church near her home in Islip, New York, volunteered with the Special Olympics, and has helped conduct soccer clinics for handicapped children. She has also participated in the Hofstra Athletics department reading day at local elementary schools.
Competition:Weber became the first All-American in Hofstra Women's Soccer history, and one of only nine defenders nationally, when she earned third-team honors from the NSCAA as a sophomore in 2005. She was one of 25 players on the pre-season watch list for the Hermann Trophy, given to the nation's top player, in 2006, and has twice been named the CAA Defensive Player of the Year. She was named the CAA Preseason Co-Player of the Year this fall. Away from Hofstra, she was one of 18 players to participate with the United States Under-21 team at a two-week camp in Carson, California in February, and helped the Long Island Fury to the national championship in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) in the summer of 2006.
