Classroom:Meyer currently stands with a 3.152 GPA and is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Meyer is on track to graduate this spring. Meyer was named to the Dean’s List last semester, as well as to the Atlantic 10 Commissioners Honor Roll. He was also one of the Fordham student-athletes honored at the Athletic Department’s “Breakfast for Champions” that acknowledges GPA's of 3.0 or higher.
Meyer has already finished two internships in 2007. He did an internship with Merrill Lynch during the spring semester, while over the summer he worked for FIFA, the international governing body for soccer. While there, he dealt with different aspects of FIFA, including marketing, business, and discipline.
Character:Meyer will be serving as the Fordham team captain for the second consecutive year this season. When things are not going Fordham’s way, Meyer is the player that the team looks to for guidance on the field, and he delivers to push the team forward in a positive manner. His reliability, work ethic and attention to detail is seen in his play on the field as well as off it. When something needs to be done concerning the team, he is the first to be contacted by the coaching staff or the athletic department.
Competition:Meyer has been a staple in the Fordham line-up since his freshman season. He has led the team in scoring each of the last two seasons, racking up six game-winning goals. Last season, he earned Second Team All-Atlantic 10 and Third Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors.
The team was nationally ranked as high as 12th for the first month of the 2006 season, and was regionally ranked for the second consecutive year. This season, Meyer will once again be instrumental in the Rams’ success, as the team’s captain and leading scorer.
