Classroom:A 2006 second-team ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American, Reedy boasts a 3.97 cumulative grade point average while majoring in mechanical engineering. He has earned a spot on the Bradley University Athletic Director's Honor Roll during each of his first eight semesters at Bradley, while also landing on the Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll for each of his years in school. In addition, he earned the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award in 2005, 2006 and 2007, as well as the MVC Presidents Council Academic Award in 2007. His team presented their project in person at Los Alamos in May.
Character:In addition to the awards he has won for his combined excellence on the field and in the classroom, Reedy has won two awards at Bradley that recognize his overall character, the soccer team's Braves Award and the athletic department's inaugural Coach Joe Stowell Award. The Coach Joe Stowell Award was introduced during Bradley's annual year-end awards program to honor the male and female student-athlete who best exemplifies Stowell's love for Bradley Athletics, as well dedication to their teams and teammates. The soccer team's Braves Award is voted upon by the team members and would be equivalent to the "Best Teammate" award.
Competition:A fifth-year senior, Reedy redshirted as a true freshman in 2003, then won the team's Most Improved Player Award after playing in 18 games as a redshirt freshman in 2004. He has battled through ankle injuries each of the last two seasons, but has managed to play in 29 games in 2005 and 2006, helping the Braves win back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championships. His 47 career games played entering the 2007 were the most of any of Bradley's active defensive players.
