Classroom:A third team ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American selection in 2006, Aden-Buie is enrolled in Penn State's prestigious Schreyer Honors College. With a 3.75 cumulative GPA after the spring semester, Aden-Buie is on track to graduate in 2008 with a double major in English and Psychology. A 2006 NSCAA Scholar All-American, she has been selected for Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2005 and 2006.
Character:Aden-Buie exemplifies not only what Penn State wants its student-athletes to be but she also demonstrates the qualities that Penn State wants its student body to possess. She is one of a few choice students, and the only student-athlete, that is part of Penn State's "It's Your Time" campaign. A leader in the classroom and on the field, Aden-Buie was elected one of the Nittany Lions' captains this season.
Competition:As a junior in 2006, Aden-Buie earned first team All-Big Ten, third team NSCAA All-Mid Atlantic Region and third team Soccer Buzz All-Region honors. She led her team with 28 points, 12 goals and 4 assists, including the game winner against Boston College in the NCAA tournament sending the Nittany Lions into the quarterfinals. She was selected as the 2006 Offensive MVP of the Big Ten Tournament after scoring two goals and notching two assists during Penn State's championship run. She also has accumulated 20 career goals, including four game-winning goals and earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week once.
