Statistics:
Classroom:MacKenzie has excelled in the classroom and has achieved much recognition, such as: 2006 CoSIDA Academic All-District, 2006 Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference, member of the Dean's List, Atlantic10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, and Director of Athletics Honor Roll. MacKenzie boasts a 3.37 cumulative GPA as a Business major and plans on pursuing employment in sports marketing, if he should not play soccer professionally.
Character:He is currently the team captain and has developed and fostered positive relationships with the players and coaching staff since his appointment during the 2007 spring season.
Community:MacKenzie has volunteered to help the Mount Lebanon Soccer Association with coaching. He has participated in Inclusive games for Duquesne in 2005. He has also volunteered at a basketball camp at a local grade school for four years.
Competition:He led the team in scoring as a junior in 2006, and is expected to do the same this season. Heading into his senior season, he is fifth in career goals at Duquesne with 16 and sixth in career points with 44. MacKenzie has been added to the 2007 College Soccer News Pre-Season All-America Third Team and also the 2007 Atlantic 10 Pre-Season All-Conference for his upcoming Senior season. As a Junior, MacKenzie was honored with 2006 NSCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team, 2006 Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference while being on the preseason First Team All-Conference as well. In his sophomore campaign he was awarded with 2005 NSCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team, and 2005 Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference. As a freshman MacKenzie was recognized by being selected for the 2004 Atlantic10 All-Rookie Team.
